This page sets out how Oris Medya works: who chooses the subjects, where the figures come from, whose hands an article passes through before publication, and how the wall between advertising and editorial is kept standing. If you are going to trust what you read here, we owe you the reasoning.
Who is responsible
The responsible editor of this publication is Miraç Uslanmaz, who answers for the final state of every text on the site, for the decision to publish it and for any correction to it. Articles carry the collective byline of the Oris Medya Research Desk rather than individual names, because most of them emerge from a combination of source work and editing rather than a single pen. A collective byline does not diffuse accountability: the name above is where it rests.

What we cover, and what we leave alone
One test governs the choice of subject: can the money be traced? A media group's revenue mix, an agency's remuneration structure, a platform's revenue per subscriber, the price paid for a broadcasting right — these are subjects we can write about. Industry gossip that leads back to nothing, acquisition rumours attributed to unnamed "people close to the matter", and rewritten corporate announcements are not.
Nothing we publish is investment advice. Explaining a company's financial position is not a view on its shares.
Sourcing
Every numerical claim must rest on a primary source. Our order of preference is:
- Company financial statements, annual reports and investor presentations.
- Regulatory filings and official statistics.
- Regular published research from trade bodies and independent measurement firms.
- Reporting by the established trade press — only where it can itself be traced to one of the above.
If we cannot follow a figure back to its source, we do not print it. Where an estimate or an accepted industry approximation is genuinely useful, we label it as such rather than presenting it as settled data. The age of a source matters: figures drawn from an older report are given with their year.
What happens before an article goes live
Every text passes through the same three stages.
Choosing the subject. A subject whose figures cannot be followed back to a primary document is not written at all. The test is verifiability, not novelty.
Source work and drafting. Company filings, regulatory publications and industry measurement data are gathered, and the text is built on them. Digital research and drafting tools — including AI-assisted ones — are used at this stage.
Editorial check. The responsible editor reads the text, checks every figure in it against its source one by one, removes any claim that cannot be verified, and decides whether it runs. A text that fails this stage is not published.
Which tool was involved does not change where responsibility sits: the accuracy of every sentence on the page belongs to the publication. If you cannot see where a figure came from, it should not have been there — write to us and we will fix it.
Three languages, not one text translated
Articles appear in Turkish, English and French. These are not machine translations of one another; each language is handled in its own financial and media register. "Net revenue" as agencies report it has no literal French equivalent, so it is rendered according to market usage. When a text is corrected in one language, the other two are updated the same day.
The wall between advertising and editorial
Advertising on this site is served automatically through Google AdSense. We do not choose who advertises, we do not know in advance which brands will appear, and we hold no direct commercial relationship with advertisers.
- We do not publish articles in exchange for payment.
- We do not produce content favourable or unfavourable to an advertiser.
- Should we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled as such at the top of the article and never presented as editorial.
- Our links are not for sale; we take no payment for linking to a site.
Conflicts of interest
The publication holds no stake in, and no commercial tie to, the companies it writes about. Should such a relationship arise, it will be disclosed within the article concerned.
Corrections
If you find a material error, write to editor@orismedya.xyz. Verified corrections are applied within 48 hours and listed with their date at the foot of the article. We do not correct silently: if a figure has changed, the reader sees that it changed.
